Those cards make a huge difference in survival once you get past day 11 or 12! My current favorite permanents are Kain and Raziel, which combined gives me medium warmth and food for melee finishers, at -15% each. As the days get higher, common game dries up and you are left to hunting berries and exotics for most of your food. There are some cards that provide a large bonus with a handicap that you can greatly minimize. Strategies improve, you know what high death situations to avoid as much as possible and your score goes up. The more you play, the more you learn, the better you get. At this point, I'll probably alternate between pushing longer and longer on that difficulty and trying to set new goals using the next higher difficulty. As I got better and obtained cards I upped it to Tomb Raider. ![]() The cards I use in the mode have made things a lot easier for me and I'm starting to push my days goal past 13. I've put 50+ hours into the mode and I think I have close to a complete collection of cards now. Just keep playing, extract with artifacts for a decent payoff and buy as many bronze packs as you can with the rewards. The games makes it easier to fill out the uncommmons/rares in your collection the more cards you collect. The right Expedition Cards can make a huge difference in Endurance. I'm not going to say that people can't cheat, and I've stopped caring about the top ten scores, but what exactly makes people sure there is a lot of cheating going on? If they bring co-op mode and score competing into the game the same time just like in HALO, that leaderboard frenzy must have been stirred up for good. Alternative solutions would just degrade their experience and only marginally improve the leaderboards for the few that they matter to. Such wasted potential really :/ A lot of people really don't care about leaderboards in SP, so it isn't really wasted potential. cleaning the leaderboards is the only "solution", but I doubt they will do that very often / if at all. Serverside-gameplay also cannot be simply added now as it would most certainly require large engine/code reworks. However it has already been said: Since this game is on PC and not designed to be server + client, there is nothing that can be done to prevent cheating. I really would like to play Score Attack and push a single mission to the limit, find the best path, best distance to shoot objectives, etc, but alas, there is zero incentive to do so when the top10 consists of astronomical numbers that are nowhere near obtainable using "normal" gameplay. Originally posted by ggsnake:Nice to see that another person noticed this exploiting/cheating on the leaderboards too. There really isn't an easy fix that doesn't create worse problems. It's just something we have to suffer with on PC. May be a kick in the nuts for people with slow internet connection though. I'm not complaining, i knew that this could happen, noone can anything do about that, but wouldn't that somehow solve this problem ? And few companies run servers longterm, so it would have a finite lifespan. Servers cost money, internet issues, latency, etc. I had 2 game crashes, both on over 2.5 hour runs.Server-sided always downgrades the experience in singleplayer. ![]() To maybe provide players a way to continue their run if there's such a problem. Would a server sided Mode really downgrade the experience ? All i can think of is that this way you could deal with small disconnects or game crashes. If they see it they'll probably deal with it, but otherwise it's not efficient. I don't know what it takes to delete a score, but someone must have noticed. Most companies aren't going to devote resources to monitor leaderboards in non-professional games. I just saw a few days ago that one false score got deleted, but only one, while 7 others were in the top 10 at the moment.
